“Where your attention goes, your energy flows”.

This quote is hanging by my mini-whiteboard in my workspace since mid-2021.

Since then, each day when I glanced at it, it set a subtle reminder to be mindful of how and where I placed my attention.

I haven’t really been active writing on Medium or Substack — and it wasn’t my intention. I have been swarmed with unexpected changes in work and social life since 2022 began — a stark contrast to 2021 for me, where I was sleeping an average of 12 hours a day and struggling with energy and lower back pain. The number of unexpected changes that happened in the past 3 months might give me enough materials to write stories that may make you go, “Wow, do such people really exist?”

Since I stop lurking around Medium, except to read a few stories from a couple of my favorite writers (yes you

, , and ), I bothered less about the “noise” here, be it 404 error codes or some radical changes in design layout or any feature upgrade of the Medium app.

And dare I say, it has been super liberating.

I guessed the above quote has some elements of truth in it, evidently over the months, as I placed less attention on this platform where one can be easily sucked into comparison and performance, I find myself tapping into my feminine intuition more and flowing with seasons of life.

Perhaps this is a sign that I am evolving as a writer, regardless of number, type, and size of platform and “followers”.

If you enjoyed reading my personal stories, please consider tipping me cups of tea on ko-fi. A cup of tea goes a long, long way in helping me support other writers and cancer survivors.
